Cold Spring is owned and run by me.  I’m usually engaged on a stand-alone basis to work with in-house resources.  Where appropriate and agreed with clients, I can pull in other experts and professionals across the many fields within HR & People, to bring together the best team to deliver the desired results cost-efficiently and in a timely manner.

 

I’m a global People & Culture leader with a career that has taken me from semiconductor science to finance, talent acquisition, and ultimately senior HR leadership. I began in semiconductor research before moving into the finance sector as a technology‑focused analyst, where my mathematical background later led me into headhunting for ‘quants’ for global hedge fund and proprietary trading clients.

 

That analytical grounding evolved into a deep commitment to people, culture, and organisational performance. After moving into in‑house recruitment, I quickly broadened across the full HR suite and have spent the past 14 years leading People & Culture functions across international professional services and consulting forms. My work has spanned both developed and emerging markets, giving me a nuanced understanding of how culture, capability, and organisational design play out in different contexts around the world.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve led large‑scale transformation, built people strategies tightly aligned to commercial goals, and coached senior leaders through complex change. My experience covers many things including; global reward design, leadership development, DEIA, organisational design, succession planning, and the integration of AI‑enabled HR solutions.
